Glossary
The mine uses its own words, and uses them in the contracts as well as in the interface. A word here means the same thing everywhere it appears.
Nothing in this list is decoration. Each word maps to something the contract does, except the shaft and the cart, which are pictures of numbers and say so.
The place
The mine
The protocol. One contract holding the stakes, the levels and the pool of WINZE it pays out of. Everything else in this glossary is a part of it.
Shaft
The vertical view of the mine. The camera sits at the current level and drops one level at each halving. It is a picture of the level, not a separate thing.
Vein
A listed stock token. Each vein has its own price source and its own total staked, and each contributes to the same TVL.
Level
Which rate the mine is paying. Level 0 pays 0.1 WINZE per dollar per day. Every level after it starts at twice the TVL of the one before and pays half as much.
Deeper
The only direction the mine moves. The level goes up, the tribute goes down, and neither comes back.
The ore
WINZE
The token the mine pays in. 50,000,000 exist, minted once at deploy, with no function to make more.
Tribute
What the mine pays you. It is quoted per dollar staked per day, it is the same for every miner, and it is not a share of anything.
Pool
The 40,000,000 WINZE the mine holds and pays tribute out of. It is not a staking pool and nothing is divided between miners.
Cart
The picture of your claimable tribute filling up. It has no contract behind it. The number it shows is pending tribute.
Exhaustion
The end. When a settlement would pay more than the pool has left, it pays the remainder and the mine stops accruing for everyone. There is no date attached to it.
What you do
Stake
Send a listed stock token into the mine and start accruing on its dollar value. Two transactions: approve the token, then stake.
Unstake
Take a stock token back out. Any amount, at any time, with no lock, no cooldown and no fee. It does not touch tribute you have already accrued.
Claim
Take the WINZE you have accrued. One call covers every token you hold. No cooldown, no fee.
Poke
Settle someone's positions and re-evaluate the level, without moving anything. Anyone can poke anyone. It pays the caller nothing.
The machinery
TVL
Total value locked. The dollar value of everything staked in the mine, priced now. It is the only thing that sets the level.
Halving
A crossing. TVL reaches a threshold, the tribute per dollar is cut in half, and the mine records it. It is permanent. One deposit can cause several in one transaction.
Epoch
A span of constant rate. Every halving appends one, with the time it starts and the rate from then on. The list is public and settlement reads across it.
Settlement
The moment the mine works out what a position has accrued and writes it down. It happens on stake, unstake, claim and poke, and at no other time.
Claimable
Tribute that has been settled and is waiting for you to take it. Pending tribute is that plus everything accrued since the last settlement.
Price source
The contract the mine asks what a token is worth. Either a manual source, where a keeper pushes prices, or a Chainlink source reading a feed.
Stale
A price older than seven days, or one the source will not give. The mine reports it and does nothing about it. A stale price blocks nothing and is the price used.
Miner
You. An address with a position in the mine.
The function and event names behind these words are in contracts.
